Solstice Celebration + Wild Foods Cooking Class + Gourmet Meal!!!!
When: 12/20, 11am-2pm
Where: Will Forage for Food, 900 Twin Lake Dr, Tipton, MI
Plant walks are great, but what do you do with stuff once you get it home? This class is designed to teach you exactly that. We will work together using foraged foods, farm fresh ingredients, and some grocery store staples to make a gourmet meal that we will share. There is no better way to celebrate the solstice than with a wonderful, wild foods meal.
Our meal will include an appetizer, a main dish, 2-3 sides, a desert, and both an alcoholic and a non-alcoholic beverage, all made with wild ingredients. Pleae note any dietary restrictions when you register. You may want a notebook to jot down recipes as we go. And you will definitely need a couple of containers, because I make tons of food. So there are always lots of leftovers for everyone to take home.
After our meal, we will join together in a ritual circle to welcome back the light and set intentions for the coming year.
Spots are being sold on a sliding sclae. Please pay what you can, discount spots are limited. I have 1 work study position for this class on a first come first served basis. Contact me for details.
